You will pass by the Yukon Wildlife Preserve on the right hand side, take you next left turn onto the Takhini River Road, just before the Eclipse Hot Springs and the Takhini Resort. 

The Elevation Sled Dog Centre is located just 1km down the Takhini River Road on the right hand side – Look for the signs!

🐾 Fall Dry-Land Mushing Adventure

Experience the thrill of off-season mushing with Elevation Sled Dogs, led by seasoned musher Aaron Peck. This unique fall adventure lets you ride behind a powerful 14-dog team as they pull a specially designed cart through scenic autumn trails bursting with color.

Feel the energy of the dogs, the crisp air of the season, and the excitement of true mushing—no snow required. Along the way, learn about sled dog culture, training, and what it takes to run a professional team. With a maximum of just 5 guests per tour, this is an intimate, hands-on experience you won’t forget.

Whether you’re an adventure seeker or simply love dogs, the Fall Mushing Cart Expedition offers a rare chance to connect with these incredible animals and explore the beauty of autumn in a truly unforgettable way.

September Morning Tour

9:15 AM – Pick-up from Whitehorse hotel (self-drive arrival by 10:00 AM)

10:00 AM – Welcome & educational talk on Yukon dog sledding history while gearing up

10:15 AM – Meet your husky team, sled safety briefing, and help harness the dogs – Hit the trail!

12:45PM –Return to base, un-harness dogs, and enjoy story time with refreshments

1:00 PM – Shuttle return to Whitehorse

1:30 PM – Arrival back to Whitehorse

October Morning Tour

This is not your typical dog sledding tour. We run larger, powerful teams of 8–10 dogs, giving you a true taste of authentic Yukon mushing. With just two guests per sled, you’ll enjoy a far more personal, hands-on experience.

Your expert guide is with you every step of the way, making this a highly interactive and informative tour. You’ll learn how to harness, handle, and confidently drive your own team, gaining real insight into the world of professional mushing. This is as much an educational experience as it is an exhilarating ride.

Tours begin at either 11:00am or 1:30pm. If using our shuttle service, you will be picked up 30 min before your tour begins (10:30am or 1:00pm).

Yukon Husky Express! - $240

Yukon Sled Dog Express & Interpretive Tour 🐾

Designed especially for groups of 12 or more guests, this experience combines an authentic Yukon dog sled adventure with plenty of time to relax, learn, and connect with our incredible sled dogs.

The “Express” refers to the length of the sled ride—not the overall experience. Guests enjoy an exciting 30-minute guided dog sled ride, followed by an extended visit around the campfire where they can slow down and experience the heart of our kennel.

CANCELATION and cold weather POLICY

Customers will receive a full refund with at least 30 days notice of cancellation, a 50% refund with 29-15 days notice, a 25% refund with 14-7 days notice, and NO refund 6 days or less before your tour start time. Submit an email to cancel or inquire about a cancellation.
Cold Weather Policy
Our cold weather cutoff is -32C. At -32C or colder on the day of your tour,  you are eligible for a full refund.  However, if you are still keen to experience dog sledding regardless of temperature, our guides and dogs are able to safely run your tour down to -40C.  Elevation Sled Dogs will attempt to contact you the day before your tour to consult you about this decision.
